About Tiago Djaló

Tiago Emanuel Embaló Djaló (Portuguese pronunciation: ; 9 April 2000) is a Portuguese footballer who plays as a centre back for FC Porto on loan from Juventus. Club career On 24 February 2018, Djaló made his professional debut with Sporting B in a 2017–18 LigaPro match against Académica. In January 2019, Djaló was signed by A.C. Milan and joined their youth team until the end of season. In July 2019, alongside several other youth team players, he was invited to train with the first team by the newly appointed coach Marco Giampaolo. On 19 July 2019, he played his debut and the only game for Milan, a pre-season friendly against Novara, coming on as a substitute in the second half. On 1 August 2019, Djaló was sold to Lille OSC for an undisclosed fee, signing a contract until 30 June 2024. On 11 August 2019, he made his debut for the club, as well as in senior competitive football, starting in central defense alongside José Fonte in a home Ligue 1 opening game against Nantes. On 23 October 2019, he made his debut in the UEFA Champions League, playing 87 minutes in a home 1–1 draw against Valencia. International career Djaló was born in Portugal and is of Bissau-Guinean descent. He is a youth international for Portugal.
